Stem Cell Debates

CaseComp1

SSSCR hosts an annual Stem Cell Debates competition, inviting students from both high school and undergraduate studies to partake in friendly debates based on the use and regulation of stem cells in both public and private sectors. Our debate topics cover a diverse array of issues pertinent to our current society: from ethical concerns regarding the implementation of stem cell technology in the health sector, to the interplay of government and scientific knowledge in stem cell regulation, as well as the monetary and legal difficulties that arise within this field. This event is one of SSSCR’s most interactive and thoughtprovoking events, where we encourage students to individually research and delve into the topic of interest, and build a platform upon which they are able to develop creative and sound arguments in support of their stance.
